Friends of the Morrill Public Library
The Friends of the Morrill Public Library raise money through used book sales, membership dues, and donations to help with library projects. The Friends board members meet on the first Monday of most months at 4:00 p.m.

The Friends have provided funding for:
- Supported the 2025 Summer Library Program, “Color Our World.”
- Renewed our subscription to BookPage so patrons can enjoy it for free
- Hosted the Used Book Sale in October and stocked Little Free Libraries around Brown County
- Hosted Ioway artist, musician, and historian Reuben Ironhorse-Kent at the 2024 Annual Meeting
- Continued to update the Digital Newspaper Archives provided by the library
- Funded Beanstack, the library’s digital reading tracker
- Funded the library’s Halloween Frolic activities, including the Queen’s candidate’s float
- Funded K-State Extension S.T.E.A.M. programs and activities
- Funded NicheAcademy, a learning resource for patrons and librarians
- Hosted Victoria Jelks, twice Kansas champion of Poetry Out Loud, at our 2025 Annual Meeting
