Library Giving Day 2020

Morrill Public Library is raising funds through a Library Giving Day campaign. This one-day online fundraising event will occur on Thursday, April 23, 2020 and will encourage patrons and library lovers to make a gift to their individual library system.

This campaign reminds us that libraries, small and large, serve as a cornerstone for our communities. In addition to well-loved books, many libraries offer innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, connect patrons to technology, and advance knowledge.

How to Give to Morrill Public Library

As many of our patrons know, Morrill Public Library is one of about 50 public libraries in the Northeast Kansas Library System (NEKLS), which gives patrons access to over a million items throughout the system via Inter-Library Loan.

Through our relationship with NEKLS, Morrill Public Library has partnered with the Northeast Kansas Library Foundation to be able to take online donations for Library Giving Day! The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization established in 2009 to support NEKLS. They are able to accept a variety of gift types, including credit cards, stocks, and bequests. Because of their 501(c)(3) status, anyone who donates to our library through the Foundation will receive a formal receipt to keep for their tax purposes!
